Here’s how to get a solar system for your home
At MLEC Solar we’re here to help you start taking advantage of more reliable power, fight rising electricity prices, and help Australia work towards a cleaner, greener future.
And we make it easy to get started. Here’s how to do it.
GET IN TOUCH
The first step is to contact us. Either give us a call, request a quote, or come and see us in person, and we can start the process of getting a solar system for your home. We’ll then book in a consultation to view your property, and get the ball rolling.
At your consultation, you’ll need to provide:
- A copy of your latest few electricity bills, so we can measure how much you use.
- The hours / days you expect to operate your solar system.
- If you’re a business, any planned increase to your operating hours in the future.
- If you don’t own your business, you’ll need to provide us with your lease terms too.
Your Consultation And Quote
One of our friendly team will visit your home, review your current situation, and discuss with you:
- Your current electricity consumption patterns
- Any current and future electricity tariffs
- The roof space you have available. This includes its pitch(the angle it’s on) and orientation (which way it faces).
We Provide A Quote
We’ll provide you with an easy-to-understand quote that clearly outlines everything your solar system will include:
- The total cost of installation, including products.
- What you can expect to make by importing electricity back into the grid.
- How long it will take to pay off your system, based on your solar savings.
- Your purchasing options (outright, finance options).
- Information about your STC rebates.
- Any other questions you might have.
Provide Your Details
Once you understand and agree to your quote, it’s time to get started. All you need to do is provide us with a Synergy bill and we can begin the process.
We Organise The Approval And Connection
We get in touch with Synergy and Western Power on your behalf and arrange all the necessary details to connect your solar system to the electricity grid. We’ll manage your STC rebates, any necessary structural engineering certificates for your system, and everything else that’s included—you don’t have to do a thing.
Book In Your Installation
We organise a time and day for our expert team to come and perform your installation. This typically takes around one week for a smaller system, and three to four weeks for a larger system.
Just be aware that we’ll need to shut off your power for the whole day, and factor this into your plans.
Installation Day
The big day is here. Our team come and install your new solar system on your roof. We’ll let you know the times you can expect to have your power turned off, so you can plan your day around this.
Comissioning
We configure and test your system to ensure everything has been installed and set up correctly, and you’re ready to go.
And don’t forget, our 48-hour Fix & Replace Guarantee means that if there are any teething issues, our team will be there within 48 hours to get it sorted.
You've Got Solar
And that’s it: you’re connected back to the grid, your system is working, and you can start enjoying the benefits of solar. It’s time to cut your reliance on grid electricity and start harvesting the benefits of the sun.
